Building Hours

The Town  Shop has regular building hours, typically between 3 and 8 PM on weekdays. As an after school program, the Town Shop will pick students up from West Genesee Senior High School and Camillus Middle School as requested. During building hours, you can play one of our many games such as ping pong, pool, shuffle board, Foosball, and many more board games up on our third floor. Come to play chess, listen to music, do your homework, or hang out with your friends.

Adventures in Nature & Culture

We do all kinds of fun activities outside of the building, including bowling, paintball, trips down town to the creek walk,  seasonal activities, and much more. We believe that providing these experiences helps to form a positive world view and contributes to teens finding hobbies and interests that last a lifetime. We even do a few out of town trips, including hiking Chimney Bluffs on Lake Ontario, New York City,  and even a whale watch!

*All trips that require taking the van is first come first serve!

SEVA (Selfless Service)

SEVA describes the actions that seek collective uplifting through the understanding of the needs of others and are based on togetherness and integration. It is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to uplift those around you. Join us as we practice the act of SEVA all year long!

The Town Shop volunteers at the Rescue Mission every Wednesday, consistently. We help prepare and serve food for vulnerable and underserved communities including those experiencing homelessness. and financial insecurity.

Creative Expression

The Town Shop usually hosts a few music events a month. Typically, we do an open mic once a month which is open to the public. Anyone wanting to show off their talent is welcome!

We also host bands from all over who need a venue to showcase their work. While we only do a few of these events a year, these can be wonderful opportunities to see local musicians and support local music scenes.

Traditional Recreation

The Town Shop offers many outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, swimming, and more. being outdoors and engaging with nature is one of the many ingredients for positive development, and we believe this to be an important element of our programming.

Environmental Action

Every year, the Town Shop engages in several local clean-ups, most significantly our annual Earth Day Clean-up (which we have done every year since the first marked Earth Day). These kinds of opportunities not only give young people a sense of the impact litter and pollution can make on a local environment, but also endow a sense of responsibility towards our local environment.

The end goal for this is simple: encouraging responsibility and direct action towards environmental preservation. With so many incredible features to our landscape, including the local Nine Mile Creek and Erie Canal, it’s important to give young people an idea of how significant these features are.
